Why Organic
Before answering the why, we must understand the where and how. Organic farming focuses on promoting the sustainable health and productivity of the ecosystem – from the soil and water to the plants, animals and people.
Much like the human body, the earth thrives in the absence of synthetic additives. Organic produce is produced naturally, without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides. Dairy and meat products are free of antibiotics and growth-promoting drugs. It’s nature as it was intended. Organic farming helps to reduce water pollution, minimize agricultural greenhouse emissions, and protect the earth. Organic foods are produced in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible way, focusing on regeneration, conservation, animal welfare and worker health.
clearly good
It’s clearly good for us. Organic food is found to contain higher concentrations of beneficial minerals, antioxidants, and essential vitamins than their conventionally produced counterparts. Eating organic food also allows people to avoid hydrogenated fats completely.
